I wanted to let you know that the Cornucopia organization has been taking the lead in the raw almond debacle -- if people want to ideas about what they can do they can go to that website and click on the "authentic almond project" button. Raw almonds are a staple for me -- I'm pretty much a raw vegan and since I'm gluten & casein sensitive as well raw almonds are important for me -- for "milk," "cheese" and other staples!
I think this is an important issue, especially if this "pasteurization" thing spreads to other staples used by raw vegans.
