When I think of pure fitness I think of pure energy, pure health, pure water and especially pure food sources.

In this health and fitness article we share some of the principles one needs to follow to achieve pure, healthy fitness.

First of all, let’s define what we are talking about when we speak of pure fitness. In this health and fitness article, this kind of fitness refers to achieving an optimal level of health: freedom from illness and disease, a strong immune system, healthy cognitive faculties, freedom from agitation, fears and anxiety, clear thinking, strong muscles, and endurance and stamina to complete daily tasks.

Take a moment now and rate yourself on a scale of one to 10 on each of these items: Ten indicates that you are at your best in that area and one indicates you are at your worst:

Disease
Strong immune system (rarely get sick)
Clear thinking
Short term recall
Long term recall
Worries
Anxiety
Irritability
Stamina
Stable emotions
Body fat to lean ratio
Sleep patterns
Energy level

Now add up your score and see how you did.

If your score was 65 or less on this inventory you are in poor shape. There are probably many things you can do to alter your life style to achieve a higher level of health. Please see a health care professional who will help you to make lifestyle changes that will optimally affect your health.

If your score was 66 – 91 it is likely you have some moderate health challenges and could also benefit from making dietary and lifestyle changes. There have been times in your life you have felt better and you have noticed that your health is not what it should be.

If your score was 92 - 117 you’re likely in pretty good shape. There may be a few minor things you can tweak to improve your health even further.

If you averaged 118-130 you are in excellent shape. Congratulations. You likely have learned to achieve pure fitness by incorporating the elements of diet, nutrition and exercise. Chances are you eat pure food, drink pure water and regularly engage in aerobic and strength training exercises. Keep up the good work.

This inventory on pure fitness is simply to get you thinking about different areas of your fitness and recognize that there may be some things you can do to improve your health. This tool is not a diagnostic tool, nor are we giving medical advice.
