Cacao Sesame Cookies Recipe

Sesame Cookies
Are you looking for a simple, delicious, guilt free cacao sesame cookies recipe? Well look no further. This recipe can be eaten raw or dehydrated. It’s always fun to take the same recipe and prepare it in a variety of different ways – there are 3 variations of this recipe below –so experiment and have fun with it.

I need to give credit where credit is due…these cacao sesame cookies were inspired by Go Raw! Cacao Sesame Chips. Go Raw! is a product line of really delicious and well done dehydrated snacks. Check them out at your local health food store.

These cacao sesame cookies are so simple and delicious you’ll be making them frequently. But, because they are raw, they take a little prep time in soaking the dates and sesame seeds. So plan ahead.

Cacao Sesame Cookie ingredients:

10 medjool dates – soak 1 hour
½ cup sesame seeds – soak overnight (minimum of 6 hours)
½ cup flaked coconut
1
– 2 Tablespoons honey
1/4 - 1/3 cup raw cacao (cocoa)
1 Tablespoon cocoa nibs

Place all the above ingredients in your food processor with the S blade. Add a little water, if necessary, to gain the right consistency you need to make balls, drop cookies or chips. Process all the ingredients together until you have a nice dough to work with.

To eat raw, roll the dough into walnut size balls and chill. Create a drop cookie by dropping heaping teaspoonfuls onto teflex sheets, press down lightly with a fork place in your dehydrator. Dehydrate to your desired consistency.

To make a chocolate sesame chip, spread the dough out on teflex sheets to about ¼ inch thick, score and dehydrate until crispy.

As always, Eat Healthy, Be Healthy
