Apple Crisp Recipe - It's Delicious

Apple Crisp
It’s a great time of year to make a sumptuous apple crisp recipe. Fall is in the air. The apples are ripe and fresh and at their peak for flavor. What makes this the best apple crisp recipe for me are several things.

First of all it is a raw recipe, so you get all the flavor and then some of the original apple dessert. The flavor is a more intense apple flavor.

Second, it is completely guilt free. It has no saturated fat like the traditional apple dessert recipe has and is loaded with fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. It is delicious and nutritious.

Finally, this recipe is very easy to make. From start to finish to clean up, you can have this best apple crisp recipe ready to eat and enjoy for your family in around 30 minutes or less.

Serves 4-6

Apple Crisp

2 Golden Delicious apples (or apples of your choice)
1 tablespoons raisins
Cinnamon and nutmeg to taste
½-1 teaspoon lemon juice
Chop above ingredients together in food processor - to your desired consistency
Pour apple mixture into an 8x8 pan

Topping

2 tablespoons ground flax seed (a coffee grinder works perfectly for this)
6 roughly chopped walnuts – (Coffee grinder works well for this too)

Put ground flax seed and walnuts in bowl add cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.

Incorporate 1 tablespoon or 2 of maple syrup and stir to form crumbly mixture. Sprinkle on top of the apple mixture to complete your best apple recipe ever. You can refrigerate this recipe or leave it out if you are going to eat it fairly soon after making it.

This is a great recipe for Thanksgiving or Christmas and around the holidays. Plus with all the fattening stuff we tend to eat around the holiday season, this is a welcome, guilt free alternative to some of those other desserts.

We hope you enjoy it!
