It's A Brand New Healthy Diet Year Hi, Well, we've finally reached 2010. Not only is it a new year, it's a new decade and that means, if you didn't know it, 10 years just went by since the change of the century. If you celebrated a little too hard over the holidays and ringing in the New Year and ate more than your fair share of goodies, now is the time to get back on track and continue with your healthy diet. Since our last newsletter, we've added a bunch of healthy recipes and a couple of diet reviews to our website. Some of the new recipes include: Raw Apple Crisp Recipe - Everyone loves apple crisp and this one is raw, so it's even better for you than the one grandma used to make. You can even put a little raw ice cream on it to make it even more delicious. Kale Soup Recipe - we make this delicious soup from the kale grown in our own garden. It includes sun dried tomatoes, potatoes, rosemary and is the perfect hot soup for the cold winter that is upon us. Tomato Vegetable Soup - Winter is a great time for soup and here's another one that's delicious. It includes those sun dried tomatoes again, roma tomatoes and a delicious mix of vegetables and spices. Fire up the wood stove and make a pot of tomato veggie soup to keep you warm on a cold winter day. Vegan Pumpkin Pie Recipe - Sorry we didn't get this out to you before the holidays, but what's wrong with pumpkin pie any time during the year? It's okay to break the rules when we're talking about a pie that's as delicious as this. Those are just a few of our healthy recipes included on our website, and if you'd like, you can share your healthy vegan recipes that are raw or almost raw with the world on our website. Just go to our share a healthy recipe page and follow the directions and we'll get your recipe online. And finally, if you completely over did it between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we've reviewed a couple of vegetarian weight loss diets that may be able to help you get back to the weight you were before the holidays. We should probably include Halloween in the holiday mix, because for some, that's when the indulging in extra treats begins. The two diet we've reviewed are Easy Veggie Meal Plans and Fat Burning Furnace. The first one, Easy Veggie Meal Plans, is a completely vegan weight loss plan and the second isn't vegan, but it can be adapted to any eating lifestyle and includes a bunch of exercises to help you get back into shape.
