Use The Preacher Curl To Get Amazing Biceps

Preacher Curl For Amazing Biceps
The preacher curl is a form of isolation exercise that builds strength as it targets your biceps. The exercise utilizes a pulling form of motion as you curl your arms while leaning on a preacher bench. Use a barbell that has an E-Z bar for a better grip.

Do your stretches and warm-ups before doing this exercise. Load the E-Z bar with a set of weights that you can easily handle while giving you a good workout without causing undue strain. Place the bar on the front bar rest that is provided for your preacher bench.

If you do not have a bar rest, then have someone hand it to you. Sit securely on the preacher bench with your torso leaning straight on the bench and your feet planted shoulder’s breadth apart. Place your elbows on the bench with your upper arms straight against the pad of the bench. Hold the E-Z curl bar at shoulder’s breadth with your palms facing upwards and your wrist curving in along with the shape of the bar. Your elbows should be bent up to the point where the bar is almost touching your face and at the level of your shoulders. This will be your starting position.

Breathe in as you slowly lower the bar, up until your arms are fully extended. You must feel the tension on your biceps while allowing your muscles to stretch. Inhale as you slowly go back to starting position. Hold the contraction for a second and breathe in as you lower your arms. Repeat with the recommended number of reps and sets.
